Sometimes the door kicks open when the right music comes your way. Maybe it’s the way the story is told, or it’s a melody so empowering that if you could hold onto that one moment, then just maybe your dreams could be realized. For Star Again, that story – that moment – is the best and simplest way to express the reason they make music.

Star Again is lead vocalist Jordan Steffen, bassist David R Muckala, guitarist Chris Eden, and drummer Matt Hehl. Elements of the group existed as early as 2006, but the right combination of musicians had not come together until late 2009. With a strong vision to plant a deep impression of meaning and truth into their listeners, Star Again has begun their creative journey with an ambitious two-disc debut album, “Warn the Wise”.

One hand on the modern and the other on the ancient: driving rock anthems, moving ballads, and honest Americana are all descriptive of their sound. “Warn the Wise” could be described as a chronicle of the breakdown of humanity, but one that inspires belief in the promise that it can someday be restored. The range and depth of Star Again’s sound flows from the meaning in their songs – the marriage of music and spiritual awakening. The band is not interested in making music to pass time, but rather to create timeless songs with a far-reaching impact; to resurrect the lost a rt of songwriting. They would argue: if music has no impact, then why create it at all?

Many brilliant artists have, and continue to, inspire the band’s music. Influences such as Dylan, the Beatles, Oasis, U2, and Springsteen drive Star Again to work toward the standard set by those founding fathers. The quest for that standard borders on the religious - a tireless effort the band embraces.

Star Again continues to look toward its horizon, preparing for the promotion and release of “Warn the Wise” and the touring that will accompany it.
