Newspaper Shout-Outs
Star Again got its first newspaper shout-outs in the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press (below) promoting our CD release show tonight!
Star Tribune:
“A band that clearly has serious intentions, piano-driven pop/rock band Star Again plays the Fine Line on Friday, celebrating its debut CD release, an ambitious two-disc set titled ‘Warn the Wise’ that is described in its press kit as ‘a chronicle of the breakdown of humanity.’ Geez, no wonder it’s a double CD. Singer/songwriter Chris Eden leads the band with Christian undertones and a Five for Fighting ballad-prone style….” – Columnist Chris Riemenschneider
Pioneer Press:
“St. Paul newcomers Star Again are nothing if not ambitious. The four-piece initially set out to record an EP but ended up having enough material to release a two-CD debut, ‘Warn the Wise.’ It’s filled with melodic light rock that occasionally veers into Americana territory. In a perfect world, Cities 97 would be all over these guys. They play a CD-release show tonight at the Fine Line with Lakeville’s Colplay-esque Bright Lights and Heroes, who are using the night to launch their new EP, ‘Zero Gravity’. Star Again, meanwhile, already has a follow-up gig booked, playing a free show Thursday in St. Paul’s Mears Park, opening for the Idle Hands.” – Columnist Ross Raihala
Are we ambitious? Oh YEAH! It’s what music demands if it’s going to connect. Let’s make the “perfect world” – if you’re a Star Again fan, call Cities 97 (651-989-9797) and tell them they should be playing your favorite Star Again song! Thanks for your support – hope to see everyone at our show tonight at the Fine Line!
